There is a very small indoor pool, exercise room and plenty of deck space for observing scenery and wildlife. The vessel carries a helicopter for reconnaissance and passenger excursions and a fleet of sturdy Zodiac craft for beach landings.

Dress is informal. Comfortable, casual clothing for all inside activities, and good footwear. Gentlemen may wish to bring a coat and tie, and ladies a cocktail dress for the Captain's Welcome and Farewell parties but this is certainly not necessary.
Gratuities are divided amongst the entire crew/hotel staff. The guideline is US$9 - US$12 per passenger per day.

Wheelchair access is unsuitable. The ship has no special provisions for severely handicapped persons. Doors are heavy and not too wide. Outside doors have sills. Metal decks can be slippery and icy.  Hoists are not provided and passengers will need to bring their own.
