Calypso is a stylish little cruise ship that provides a friendly atmosphere and has a good range of public rooms. After refurbishment in 2006, it offers adults only cruising with British ambience and British style daytime and evening entertainment.  Calypso passengers tend to be Mixed Ages and European. At full capacity the space ratio is 15.1 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 3.4 passengers.

Majority of cabins onboard have an outside view with twin beds (many adaptable to double). Most are quite small with limited storage space but the suites, deluxe and 3/4 bed inside cabins are more spacious. All cabins feature showers only.

This ship has a wraparound promenade deck. Leisure Facilities include a small leisure centre with gym and sauna. The ship has one small plunge pool aft. There is deck space for sunloungers on the sundeck and aft decks that can get quite crowded when full

The attractive L'Orchidee restaurant is located on two levels in the stern and features a blend of traditional and international food with good service. The more informal Bistro on Boat deck provides a buffet and al fresco dining options. Main Dining Rooms  1

Evening entertainment is provided by professional artistes in the Festival Show Lounge and The Captain's Club which also acts as the nightclub. A wide variety of daytime entertainment is provided by the British cruise staff.  Show Lounges 1

Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress tends to be smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). On formal evenings you can wear a suit or even a dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.

Wheelchair access is unsuitable. There are five cabins for passengers with special mobility needs with widened doors for wheelchair entry and easy access to the bathroom/shower area. However, because of the ships age the layout is difficult for passengers confined to wheelchairs .  Hoists are not provided and passengers will need to bring their own.

The rating for children is Unsuitable. Facilities for children aboard Calypso are limited with no formal children’s entertainment programmes, although families are welcome.
